Week 10 Holiday Pictures

For this weeks trick I took the image of my nephew and gave it a border and text to create an image of how to cool down durring summer time. Nothing feels better when you're 3 years old than floating on a mickey mouse tube in cold water blowing bubbles.

Poster

The Spori Building in HDR

I chose to take my favorite picture from the semester and transform it into my poster. I took the three pictures of the Spori and cloudy sky with 3 different exposures and then used the Photomatix program to combine the three images into one great HDR picture. Making it 24x36 kept it clean and crisp, but just to perfect the photo I then added a touch of the Unsharpen Mask to make the image as clean and bright as possible.

Week 8 Panoramics & Photomerge

Montana Lake: Pentax Optio E10 Camera, May 14th 2009 6:30pm
Rexburg Panoramic: Cannon Powershot, ISO 80, F 4.5, June 11th 2009 11:45 am
Field and Butte: Cannon Powershot, ISO 80, F 4.5, June 11th 2009 12:05 pm

This weeks assignment was to take several photos and then combine them using the photomerge option on Photoshop. All of the above panoramic images were taken with a tripod and consist of 4 different pictures.

Location: Lake off of I-15 in Montana in route to Bannack Montana
Camera: Pentax Optio E10
Date/Time: May 14th 2009 @ 630 pm
On the way back from our Bannack trip the wife and I decided to stop at the scenic overlook of this beautiful lake. The cloudy day provided some great sky and the rough water gave it a unique look also. I took these shots before realizing we would even be able to use photomerge for an assignment so it worked out perfectly.

Week 7 Daily Photo Journal

A Daily Photo Journal

For this project we were to take a picture every day of the week, then add them to a template using adjustment layers and blending masks to create a compilation of a week in our lives. All photos were taken with my iphone camera, making it difficult if not impossible for me list the camera settings such as Fstop ISO or shutter speed.

Week 6 - Portraits/Luminosity & Enhancement

Lynlee W train car: F2.8, ISo 500, May 31 2009, Nikon DSC 50
For this weeks Photoshop trick we were to use the magnetic laso to select part of the image and use the replace color to change the look of an image. I used the laso to select the dress and change the color to a deep blue from it's original red. I then used the laso to select her hair and change her highlights to pink. She always tells me that it looks cute on my youngest sister so I thought I would give her that same look.

Serious: F2.8, ISO 500, May 31st 2009, Camera Nikon DSC 50
For this weeks assignment we were to take several portriat shots developing our skills. I was at a family gathering in Idaho Falls and there was this cool old train car in my cousins yard that I was able to get a few pictures infront of. My little sister and my handsome newphew climbed into a treehouse and were picture ready. My wife was also willing to pose for a few shots.
